''I first discovered Nippy Netballers when I picked up a leaflet from my daughter’s school. My elder child plays netball and I wanted something for my younger child to participate in. I hadn’t come across any other netball sessions for my daughter’s age and she had only had a little bit of experience playing the sport in school, however as my elder daughter loves the sport I thought we would enrol.

What can I say? My daughter has enjoyed herself thoroughly and always comes home with a smile on her face. The coaches – Stacey and Sonia- make the session fun and enjoyable whilst having a different netball skill focus every week. What I liked about the coaches in particular was their enthusiasm, and instilling motivation in the children they coached whilst keeping the sessions fun.

In my experience I have found there are limited sports available for girls – especially games based as I have mostly seen gymnastics and dance advertised. I have noticed my daughters skill level has also improved and I am keen for her to continue attending the Nippy Netball sessions.

I would definitely recommend these coaching sessions if you have children who want to play competitively or alternatively want to participate or play socially whilst improving their skill level. I know Nippy netballers are also starting other sessions for even younger children from the ages of 3-7 at Childwall on a Saturday morning and from year 3 -11 at King David High School on a Monday and Wednesday so I’ve encouraged my nieces and nephews to sign up! Do it – you won’t be disappointed! ''
